Re: [ST] Life out there?

I think that Aerostich and the founders of RTW are marketing to the wrong folks. We are the converted, we hear about this event. But in defense, I suppose the point is to use those that regularly ride, post on boards and receive emails on listserves like ours as the vehicle to spread the word. Coming home tonight, I saw even less than normal. For here (central VA) I do think that it was weather related, both high temperature and rain were in the forecast for today.

If we do hit $4/gal here I think that folks will be resurecting those old bikes that have been sitting in the barn. Look at last year, a friend of mine is a m'cycle dealer and saw a huge increase in the sale of the oversized scooters. And with the mild and early NE Spring, the sales were up again (it made up for the last snow sled sales). We are hovering at $3/gal here.

And as to the cache of email in my spam folder...not here.

Maybe we'll see more bikes when gas hits $4.00/gal. :0)

I noticed lots more patrol cars this morning, but was
later than usual so can't comment on bikes. 4 of us rode
here at work.
