Re: [ST] Move MotoGP East (long)

Maybe it is a great venue, but IMO, not for MotoGP racing. It's the shortest and slowest track they race on during their season. It may be great for AMA and club racing/ track days but there are other tracks in America more suited to MotoGP.

Those bike are the F1 of motorcycles.

I watched the race and there were 3 wide in one of the turns. That's only because the track is slow, narrow, and virtually no places to pass cleanly. They were probably 3 wide because they were desperate to pass an trudge forward.

Regardless what anyone thinks ( and this is like an oil thread ), FIM needs to either move the race or add another America venue race eastward.

As far as NASCRAP. I was in an airport flying going home when the race was on. The damn bar wouldn't change the channel to ABC (as they don't get SPEED) because everyone wanted to watch NASCRAP! I'm a car racing fan too, but NASCRAP SUCKS! F1, CART, Trans-AM, heck even SCCA time trials is better than redneck inbreeds driving in a circle crashing into each other.

I think this is a great venue and I had a great time. Hell, just meeting the
Yamaha legends like Wayne Rainey, Don Emde, Kel Carruthers, and Randy Mamola
was a thrill for me. I think moving the race east would not generate the
attendence numbers that they get on the west coast. Blame it on NASCAR or
whatever, I don't know.
