I snapped my bolt trying to get a good seal. I used another bolt but I
still have a small leak - good idea on the silicon bit. Any links to a
suitable product ?
Cheers...

This clamp has one bolt, and man am I getting close to breaking it just
getting the clamp tight enough to stop the can from moving.
Thanks for the hi-temp silicon idea, seems the original can has a thin
layer of something black in it which the off-road can does not.
Still seems to be taking too much to torque the clamp down, and I'm still
looking for some clearance measurements if anyone can help there.
