[ST] swing arm - resaons

Welcome David:
The SSSA (single sided swing arm) is on the ST and other high end Triumphs
(Daytona and Speed 3) because it is "trick". There is no weight savings.
It is much easier to change a tyre and to make adjustments to the chain with an
SSSA on the bike.
The RS has a dual sided swing arm because it allowed the bike to be made/sold
for less money. The last edition of the RS had an SSSA just because it was sexy
and probably helped sell the remaining bikes/parts on the factory floor.
Have a good one,
Howard Stephen Serlick
