Re: [ST] Another low speed fall...



The MSF-recommended  procedure is Thumb (Kill Switch)-Key (Ignition)- 
Valve (Fuel Petcock). This is because novice riders tend to let go of  
the clutch and use the left hand to reach for the key to turn off the  
engine. If the bike is in gear the results can be interesting.  I  
weaned myself away from that procedure because I would occasionally  
hit the starter button on my old BMW R1150r instead. However, I don't  
notice any problems restarting my '99 Sprint if I use the kill switch  
before the key.
