Re: [ST] for Marc -



Actually, the downward force of the bike to the ground
will be less on a low side than if the bike tipped
over standing still.  Remember on a low side you are
already leaned over at 50 degrees or so, thus the
distance from the slidder to the ground is less.  The
problems arrise from the bike sliding .... then you
have more extreme forces being transmitted into the
bike that are not absorbed by the shocks and tires,
but rather through the sliders into the frame.  Worse
yet is if the bike starts to tumble side over side ...
then nothing is going to protect it.
