Re: [ST] Doing my goofy happy dance (Iron Butt Rally news)

I had a line on a 2000 Black ST with hard bags and bar risers, and maybe 20k miles in the Kentucky area. I can inquire with the friend if you are interested.

And of course - CONGRATUALATIONS!!! Sounds like you have a bit to plan, and many miles of fun to be had.

Subject: [ST] Doing my goofy happy dance (Iron Butt Rally news)

I'm doing my goofy happy dance tonight. I got news I drew a spot in the 2007 Iron Butt Rally. (insert more goofy happy dancing).

Unfortunately unless I find a low milage used ST, 2000-2004, to buy I suspect I'll ride my BMW R1150GS. My ST will have over 100K by the end of this summer and I can't risk questionable dependability in August 2007. It's too big to DNF because of bike problems, you don't get a shot at being an IBR finisher very often.

Thanks for letting me share my great joy.

  Doug
