Matt I think you have missed something.
In MotoGP only the Yamaha/Kawasaki inline 4's is remotely like stuff the manufactures sell. You did notice the Honda V-5, but Suzuki V-4 and Ducati V-4 are not really for sale.

MotoGP is about selling "tech".

Triumph has no place in MotoGP. 
They don't have the money and they don't have the "tech".
