Re: [ST] Back from the Track



That opinion speaks greatly.  Having been and still somewhat a racer, I can attest that any racer worth while will keep tip top shape of their mount.  Because of the speeds that are being run, if the want to be competetive and safe, that mount better be better than good.  Usually after every outing on the track it is looked at with great scrutiny.  Even after a crash on the track, they take great care in making sure everything is right and straight.  If it's not, they get another bike and use the former as a parts bin.

So yeah, I agree 100% that a racer takes better care than most.  It's their ass on the line.

Unless I'm worried about the bike post-crash (or some weird engine/mapping mods were done), I'd rather buy a bike from a racer than most people, as they generally take great care of their bikes.  But that's just my opinion.
