Chuck,

I may still have a copy of the service bulletin (very
specific instructions) at home, I changed out my locks
back in April when the replacements came.  I will
check tonight and if you want I can fax you a copy.
The Dealer has to send back the locking mechanism to
Triumph and the condition doesn't matter, (the sevice
bulleting itself requires irreversible damage be
performed to the mechanism), the return of the
mechanism ensures that the original, crappy box has
been rendered useless, thus the guarentee that an old
box came out of service for the new replacement.  The
dealer should receive labor time from Triumph to
perform the work, I had to beg my dealer to let me do
it, because it would have taken them an extra week to
get me my new bags (and I am all about instant
gratification).
