I saw one last week (Laconia Bike Week in NH) who didn't even stop, he took his soup bowl off while moving and placed it on the dash...where it looked to fall off.  

Only 10 moto deaths this year, 9 without helmets.

Having just moved from the northeast US, that was a very common sight. Often you would see "bikers" on the side of the road entering a state w/o a helmet law taking their soup bowls off.
