Keith Winter went through the same thing with his RS; check the  
archives for his tale of woe. Triumph replaced a ton of parts and  
eventually contributed a little money to rebuild the engine, but  
after that rebuild the engine guzzled oil. Keith sold it in disgust  
and now happily rides a Blackbird.
