I recently flushed and replaced with Engine Ice. Good, bad, or indifferent, that's what I did.
Other bikes I've used Honda premix like Bil said. No problems mate.

I was thinking it might be time to flush and replace actually....so the
question still remains, will any general purpose pre-mixed coolant (the
type you get at Autozone etc.) suffice and is there anything to avoid/look
for ?

If it's not much (i.e. 1 cup) then I'd use distilled water. You won't
dilute it enough to have an affect.
If it's been a while since the system has been flushed, I'd flush and
replace.

I noticed the coolant level on my S3 is low. Having never topped up the
coolant on either of my Trumpets I am not sure what type to top it up with
- will any, good quality, pre-mixed coolant suffice ? Anything I should
avoid/look for ?
