[ST] Trip stuff (was ST alternatives)

One things I did for the Dragon RAID, and it proved to be valuable, was to make a list of every tool I needed when working on the bike. I would do my normal stuff and just note things like 8mm allen, 12 mm wrench, t-30 torx, etc, etc. Then I compiled the tools. All of them in the Triumph tool bag (stuffed), but that still fit under my seat (not bungeed to the seat, but in the space). I even got the 19mm allen for the front wheel in there. The only thing I didn't really bring was the 46mm socket for the rear wheel - but then again, it is sort of useless without a torque wrench/breaker bar long enough to generate enough force anyway. I can forward you my list if you want.

Aside from that: rain gear, flash light, rag to clean shield, chapstick, and of course...credit card. :-) There are lots of other things that you can bring or do without. Depends on what you really want, and your personal style.

Where are you looking to head, and where are you starting from? I might be able to give some suggestions.

Nope, I doubt it. That California froot-loop went and pulled my trigger
dammit, I can't let that go...

Oh, and I am kidding dammit! So save the "different strokes" speeches!
You know I love my ST or I wouldn't be on my second one...But on a serious
note I do hope the liST get's back around to topics ST, the noise has been
teatering on "unsub" lately.

Ah, I got it - I'm plotting a multi-week escape Real Soon Now since I look
to have an unexpected opportunity. Any advice from those who have done
such re: preparations, things to see/do, etc. would be welcome. I may
even have to go see this Knowlesville! No soul indeed. Harumf.
