Re: [ST] Tire pressure.

Don't go by what the tire reads - that's just the maximum that the tire can safely hold - has nothing to do with the motorcycle. I've been running 33 psi in the front, and 34 psi in the rear, and been very happy. You might want to up that a pound or two for heavy loads, two-up, are non-aggressive riding. The lower pressure lets the tire heat up quickly and more, gives a greater contact patch, but eats the tire more quickly due to the increased heat. If you are highway traveling or cruising two-up, I would probably go for 34 up front and 36 in the rear. But that's just me.

Also - how does the tire "feel funny"? I've run so low pressures playing around with the pressures, and have not had results that were too bad. Is it the front or the rear? Could you suspension by adjusted poorly?

Subject: [ST] Shinko Tyres?

Has anyone tried, or know someone that has tried Shinko tyres?

The original 020 on my '05 ST is finally getting to the point where it needs
replacing. I will get about 12,000kms which is a record for a rear tyre for
me.

I've stumbled across a supplier of Shinko's and they're quite cheap by
comparison.

$320 for a 020 rear v's $220 for a Shinko rear.

Of course if they're crap, theres no saving at all.

TIA

Brett.
