Dave, that brings up a helluva thought: since Garry noted sticking pots,
which I'm sure we all have, I would think that would lead to uneven wear
on the pad leading to a "deformity" or uneven surface. When we clean our
sticky pots up, we get uniform action back but are pressing an uneven
surface against the rotor. Possible symptom: diminished braking remains.
Dave's suggestion should lead to a flat surface on the pad, but not sure
how much rubbing you'd have to do to get flat again. Maybe you'd want to
test your pad by placing it on a piece of plate glass or a mirror to see
if it's indeed "un-flat"? ;^{D
