Re: [ST] Nut won't budge

anyone know if chain auto parts stores carry the Sea Foam Deep Creep or PB Blaster? I'm willing to this, but don't want to wait for mail by ordering and having shipped...

I removed that nut to clean out the eccentric hub when I replaced the
chain. I don't remember any particular trouble but I have a good
impact wrench that I probably used on it.

If you don't already have one, an air compressor and impact wrench
are probably cheaper than a trip to the dealer... :) For other
options, particularly good penetrating oils that I've used are PB
Blaster and Deep Creep Sea Foam. I don't believe WD40 is a
penetrating oil at all. Spray on a good penetrating oil, then tap
the nut with a hammer to help the oil penetrate through the corrosion.

If you are going to replace the rubber bits, then heat from a propane
torch might loosen the corrosion which is probably binding the nut.
