Agreed - when I had the throttle meister on my old ST with heated grips, and simply replaced the bar end and used the right number of washers, and it worked.  That's all you need to do.

I don't remember needing the friction sleeve from the ThrottleMeister kit 
with the heated grips George.  Take your bar end weight off and take a 
look at the end of the grip and see if you see any black rubber there. 
IIRC, there is plenty of friction available to the TM w/o that collar.
