David,
It sounds like you want to use a Fram filter (something I wouldn't
recommend, after having cut one open).

I think the Purolator PureOne PL14610 that Garry mentioned, is the
one you want.  The PureOne series  is generally regarded as having
the top filtration ratings.  The gasket is superior, it's slightly
longer, and standard end-cap wrenches fit the flutes.  Available
everywhere for ~$5.50
