You can go to a locksmith and have a copy made of the Givi key.
Then you just get a normal, small key without the chunky red
plastic bit. Cheap, simple, solved :-).

No rails for the SW Motech kit, just three mounting points. Backplates
are removed within half a minute.

Yep, not pretty with the plates. In Germany you're officially not
allowed to ride with just those plates in place (not because of
estatic reasons, but because they're a bit like mobile slicers
at speed I guess).

It might be the rubber nobbies that are a bit too thin to press the
case tight against the 2 bottom holders. I have the same small issue
with the topcase. Not a problem really, just a bit wiggly...
Perhaps it could be solved by making the 2 bottom holders just
a tiny bit shorter, so they pull the cases against the rack (and
rubber nobbies) more? Too tricky for me though..
