No offense.  I was asking an ignorant question.  I don't know why they do 520 conversions and I was wondering why I wouldn't want to do the same.  Maybe it's a track thing.

No offense intended but what the heck would be the point?  Saving $10 to 
$20 over 12,000 miles (my average chain life) just doesn't sound like 
good math, especially after you figure in the cost of the conversion kit. 
  And how much weight could you really be saving?
