[ST] Hot off the Press (fuel economy spin-off)

My 06 ST has a little over 4k miles since delivery in June. I've haven't reset the computer since the 1000 mile service, and it's telling me I've averaged 46 mpg. The miles are a mix of commute ( sub speed limit freeway, and a couple of miles of surface streets in town ) and touring. I don't get to run much faster than 80, but seldom drop under 65 while touring.

I'm most interested in hearing user reports related to this paragraph:

> Although the engine is unchanged, for good reason, the 2007 Sprint ST comes with Triumph's second generation Keihin Engine Control Unit, with more sophisticated mapping for quicker starting, cleaner running and better fuel economy.

If they can get the fuel economy back up to previous standards (mid 40s)
the ST would go back on my radar of potential RS replacements. And it'll
be interesting to see how the whole rear-linkage business shakes out.
