Re: [ST] RE : Final MotGP was TESTING

Absolutely Dan. Without a doubt that can all be summed up into two words: "That's Racing".

Now if this were NASCRAP, all Rossi would have to do is bump and take out Nicky. If they both DNF, Rossi wins the title. Even if Melandri won he'd be 2 points shy of Rossi.

Rossi got caught in a mix-up on the first corner at Jerez, and failed to
make the top 10 in that race.
He won in Qatar.
He ran wide in Turkey, but made up time and finished fairly high if I
remember correctly.
In China, a tire problem destroyed his comeback attempt.
A mechanical failure at Le Mans robbed him of an almost guaranteed 1st in
that race. He won again at Mugello, with Hayden finishing 3rd.
He also won in Catalunya, after the bad first corner crash that took out
Melandri, Capirossi, and Gibernau caused the race to be restarted.
At Assen, Rossi crashed during practice and broke a bone in his hand, but
went on to finish 8th in the race.
He finished 2nd to Pedrosa at Donington Park.
Rossi won in a close race at Sachsenring.
Mechanical issues forced him to retire from the race at Laguna Seca.
He finished 2nd at Brno.
He won at Sepang.
He finished 3rd at Phillip Island.
Rossi finished 2nd at Motegi.
And he finished 2nd at Estoril.

So without the collision in Jerez or the two mechanical DNF's, it would be a
different race for the championship. HOWEVER, you could probably say the
same thing about others... Like Hayden having the flu at Le Mans, Capirossi
and Melandri recovering from the crash at Catalunya, etc. So I'm not going
to say that those are the only reasons we have a fight for the
championship. I'm going to watch the race and find out who buckles under
the pressure and who stands to the front and takes the victory...
