Thanks for pointing out the new Avons Gavin, will look 'em up...

I'm on my second set of 45/46's, and after the way they performed in WV 
during a semi-soggy early October weekend, I won't have a problem running 
a third set (which I already have in reserve).  At times I had to remind 
myself if was wet out and to take it easier but we were having a blast 
anyway.

I had considered the Pilot Roads, but after more digging came to the 
conclusion they were better suited for the heavier bikes like ST-1100 and 
FJR, so went Avon.  So far, not regretting it a bit.

FWIW, HIH, YMMV, SDA, yada yada yada...
