Re: [ST] Avon Storm-ST (AV55/56) vs. RoadPilot vs. BT 020 [was Disbarred]

I'm due for new skins on my '06 ST. Any opinions out there on the merits
of the Pilot Road VS the OEM fitment of the BT 020? The 020s went 3500+
miles and still have some life, but the rear is squared off a bit, and
I'm thinking Santa might need to stop off at Tires-R-Us on his way to my
place....

Disbarred]

Gavin,

I ran that combo for several (3-4) sets. Like it A LOT. 45/50
Sport touring rear/ Supersport front. I could tell a difference in the
46 & the 50 fronts - the 50 being a real nice tire for the 99-03 ST,
IMO, YMMV.
Speaking of mileage, didnn't really think about it too much, probably
3000-4000 per set.
Only reason I have something different on now if I needed a set for a
trip in a hurry -- didn't plan
ahead well, & my dealer had a set of Pilot Powers in stock. They're
nice, overkill for the sprint st I guess, though.
Nice feel, though.
