Re: [ST] Exhaust and chain question?

Bil,
I'm not sure of why it was done.
Was what you found build-up of what the chain had shed?
What I found was new looking gray grease that had already collected a
lot of dirt. I noticed the grease on the chain the day that I picked it
up and thought nothing abnormal about it, but about 2 weeks later after
riding in the rain and noticing a grinding sound while moving at low
rpms I went to clean and re-wax my chain. That is when I found the
grease glob and the build up of filth and rocks that was causing the
grinding.
