I thought at first this was in reference to the photo I posted.

Of all the bikes that I've owned and ridden, the 955 is one of two 
motors that I really liked. (The other being the 550 Vision's v-twin)

I question why they even felt the need to go to 1050, as fuel 
consumption, heat and insurance rates all went up.

Maybe from a pure sport bike point of view they need a new motor, but 
I'm going to be happy riding my '99 for a long time without the worry 
that it's obsolete.
