Thanks all!  I wound up just going with "yeah, that feels good",
and I'll check on them from time to time.

After spending some time riding with them, I'm very happy to
have put them on.  I've been avoiding the Sprint for a while
because it's not good to my wrists, and raising the bars 
seems to take a lot of weight off my hands.
