Re: [ST] Audio set ups.



I went with the Tecstar Starcom1.  Its very similar to the Autocomm, for
slightly less $.  However, after using it for a year, I'm not sure the
savings was worth it (about $80 cheaper overall).  They have revised it and
made some improvements to the issues I have with mine (no sidetones, music
cutout and return volume), so it might be worth it now...

I'll agree on the speaker placement issue, as well as mic placement if
you're using the 2-way portion (rider-pillion or over a radio).  If its not
quite right, you'll get lots of wind noise.  A little adjusting makes it
clear as day.

The easiest thing if you're just looking for tunes is definitely the IEM's
with an external remote.  If you want to add other stuff, like GPS, phone,
and comm., you'll need a unit like the Autocomm or Starcom.
