Re: [ST] Battery chargers

First I want to thank those who responded. I appreciate it.

Second, I think I'll agree with Jack. I got a Schumacher this weekend and I'm not impressed. It does seem to work ok though, I don't think it turns off to just tend. However, that may be the battery's fault. The instructions that came with it say goes into maintainence mode when the battery reaches 14.2V. I had it connected for 24hrs and the battery only got up to 13.87V. Since I was looking for something to use on my wife's 1995 - 200 some odd thousand mile Jeep Cherokee Country anyway, $17.88 seems like the right price. I will not use it on anything else though.

I too will probably stick with the Battery Tender for all my m/c and small battery needs.

Subject: [ST] Battery chargers

I will not say anything bad about the Schumacher chargers other than I
bought one at Wally World and took it back.
It does not have the same set of connections the Battery tender does nor
did the harness seem as heavy gauge.
That was my reason, none other.
