Re: [ST] Tom

Jack,

The Norge is a very nice bike. As can be expected it is definitely different than the ST.

I have just over 1.8k miles on it now. Here are my impressions:

1) It is a nice nimble bike. I find it a little more nimble than the Sprint, even though the Sprint is lighter.
2) MPG is pretty comparable between the bikes
3) Very nice wind management (IMHO). It provides greater protection than the the Sprint.
4) Gee Whiz gadget factor is high. I has a onboard computer that captures and displays a lot of info.
5) More on the "touring" side than the "sport" side. More touring orientated than the ST.
6) Adequate accelleration, but the Sprint just has a motor that is hard to compare to. The Sprint ST just pulls compared to the Norge. The Norge is good, but it just isn't the Sprint. Though the motor does have good character.
7) Shifting is better on the Norge. But then I'm comparing to an '01 Sprint. But that is one of the first things I noticed. It shifts easier than the Sprint, and it's a lot easier to find nuetral!
8) The electric windshield is cool, movable on the fly.
9) Tid bit I find interesting, it has a turn indicator for both the right and left turn. Unlike the turn indicator for most bikes which serves for both the right and left sides.
10) As most reviews have noted, the center stand grounds out to easily. I may just take mine off.

If you have any other questions, let me know. BTW, the stock Metz Roadtechs seem like nice tires.

I am keeping my ST as it is going to be my fast fun bike. The Norge will be my touring ride.
