Looks like you've received several good replies. I too have jumped from a
car without any trouble and the suggestion to pull the battery and charge
it is a great suggestion too...
Another idea is to use one of those jumper "packs", it's a battery with
built in jumper cables, a light, a "cigarette" power socket, etc. and are
quite handy. I keep one around for just such an emergency.
