Re: [ST] Wally World Batteries (devolved into a rant, read only if you have a minute to waste)

You're absolutely right George.
I buy 99% of my groceries from the local co-op, Beer from the brewery,
bike stuff from the independents when I can, etc. I do belong to the REI
co-op, but my member number is 00034XXX. I try to be an equal
opportunity avoider.
Oh yea, Ballard Hardware is where I get most of my DIY supplies.

You know it's funny how everybody blames Walmart for putting all the
little guys out of business. That started in our town when the big
shopping malls including a KMart opened up long before Walmart came to
town. One is about 10 miles north and the other is about 7 miles
southeast. Nobody complained about them even when they got big tax
breaks from the neighboring towns to go there. The local grocery store
and pharmacy closed because of the big supermarket chains with built in
pharmacies that moved into the area but nobody complained about those
either. Walgreens and CVS quickly followed but again nobody complained
about them. Also nobody complained about Target or Kohls when they came

to neighboring towns. It appears to be the same no matter what business

a company is in. The largest one always seems to get all the law suits
and blame for everything. Remember the BS about Big Macs being made
with worms? You never heard anything like that about Wendy's or BK.
