More ideas:
Air tends to accumulate in the line between the calipers. Try
removing the left caliper and support it so that it is "up bubble"
from the other caliper. Then place a spacer between the pads which
won't do any damage - I use a piece of flat metal about the same
thickness as a brake rotor - and bleed that caliper. Bet you get
some air out of it. Reinstall the caliper and torque to 40nm.
Once you have some brake feel, compress the brake lever with a hook &
loop (aka Velcro) strap or 'bungee' cord & leave the bike overnight.
