Not ness so.  The most important thing a sponsored person (rider/driver
etc.) can do for their sponsors, is to gain publicity for their respective
sponsors.  How do they best do that ?  By winning of course (not just
winning but that is the best way).  

Do you think Marlboro were overjoyed when Kimi won the WDC LOL

Anybody who makes their living from the support of sponsors should be  
required to already have those skills.
