I put the Kympex kit on my previous '99 under some typical replacement "gel
grips" but don't see why you couldn't use the stockers. But if I had to do it
again the kit from http://www.dual-star.com looks a bit better, and if I recall
don't use a big resistor for the "low" circuit like Kympex does...
Proper switch (ala OEM) is made by CarlingSwitch, I got a couple from

Looks like EC also has a heated grip kit but I can't tell who's pads those are,
and that's a nice switch alternative they are showing.
