Al, 
I think this has been tried by some on the list with varying degrees of 
success.  But what does work is replacing the calipers with a set of 
Hyabusa calipers.  Replaced mine earlier this year and brakes have 
stayed the same - no sponginess, no fade, no loss of lever travel at all.

Next to my heated jacket liner by Warm N Safe, this is the best 
investment I've made!!!
