Question: BT-020 (if I can find one) or BT-021?

With 2K miles on my new 07 Sprint, I got something ( nail or otherwise) in
the rear BT020. Due to the fact I was at a rally at the time, what I could get
in a hurry was a BT021 rear. I did not have much choice, but ran the 020 on
front and 021 rear till now. At just under 7k miles the front 020 is now
toast, if I can find another 020 I will buy it. If not I will probably go with an
021. Rear still has a lot of life ( tis the way I ride, I generally use 2
fronts to a rear, I also wear out the sides of the tires not the middle).
All of that said, my front 020 began the dreaded cupping at about 4K miles,
when I let pressure drop a little too much in it. Once it began the cupping
continued, on the sides at the point of most wear.Even puttingg pressure back
up to normal did not stop the cupping once it started.
I know many folks are going to say I need to try different tires. I ran
Dunlops for many years, and would never go back since I found other brands. I ran
several sets of Metzelers on my old Concours, which everyone said stuck good
in the rain, I hated them for wet or cold roads. I ride year round, and have
found the 020/020 combo to be good, and liked the 020/021 better. I may have
to go to the 021/021, but will try to find an 020 front myself first.
