Well, I generally use a bit of water (the good stuff mine, from the tap)
and a bit of mud to give it the right color and consistency and hey presto,
good to go for the winter.

As one who is familiar with your somewhat legendary "thrifty" nature, I
must respectfully ask, what do you consider to be "cheap oil"? Mazola? Used
friolator grease? Exxon Valdez sludge?
