Re: [St] Reasons not to buy a Triumph Sprint

Sorry. Can't think of any. Then again, I'm just a motorcycle whore. I'll ride anything on two wheels and brand doesn't matter. Triumph, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki.

As I type this, I have one exception. I will NEVER ride a hardly. Even whores have standards ;-)

Subject: [St] Reasons not to buy a Triumph Sprint

Somone on another board wanted opinions on the Sprint as their choice for a sport-tourer.
Here's what I came up with:

Reasons for not getting a Triumph Sprint:
1. Too slow...you need at least 160 hp. to be a "real motorcyclist"
2. Luggage is for sissies...bungee on some shopping bags...done.
3. Gas mileage is too high...see reason #1
4. Doe-eyed girls will follow you wherever you go and ask you alot of questions about your bike.
5. Fur is not one of the paint finish options
6. Triples sound like crap...especially above 7,000 rpm.
7. Riding Sprints can cause too much smiling inside your helmet. This can lead to strain one's facial muscles and lead to headaches.
