Cool, thanks Karl.  How difficult is it to remove the straps from the  
tank bag, and do they interfere with the gas cap?
I normally don't want even the straps on my tank, except for trips,  
but if I need to dismount the gas tank to get it on, that's not cool.

Sounds like the roll is a winner, much cheaper and sure to not  
interfere with the panniers.
