Re: [St] Helmet age...

What a great idea.

Next time I renew my CPR card, I'll take one with me
as well. There's a (required) first aid portion to
the course and a first hand attempt to remove a
helmet will be educational.

Instead of pitching them into the garbage, donate
them to your local
fire department. It allows the EMTs to practice
removing helmets before
they need to do it at an accident scene. I donated a
couple of old
helmets to the local FD a few weeks back and they
were extremely
grateful to say the least. I hope I never have to
rely on their
expertise in that arena but if I do .......

BTW, Merry Christmas!!!!!

really did believe this, but when I called Shoei to
inquire about a new face shield for my old RF-200, I
was told that they were no longer made because the
helmet it would be used on would no longer be safe
protection. With, the little flashing red " bullshit"
indicator in the corner of my eye went off on full
blast. Is there any truth to this, or do helemt
manufacturers just want to sell more helmets?
