My first motorcycle was an EX500. I turned it into what I called
a baby sport-tourer with a tall windscreen, a Corbin seat, and Givi
luggage. With just the top case it was awesome as a commuter, and
I had side cases for touring.

I loved that bike, but it was stolen a few months after I bought
my Sprint.
I too would love to have a smaller bike with hard luggage as a
commuter. The Sprint is awesome, but it's too much bike for
kicking around the city.
