Granted Triumph probably should have used screws to secure the  
lenses, or at least a better glue. But recalls are generally for  
serious safety issues, such as fuel senders that leak. Your lens  
should have been covered as a warranty item though which is maybe why  
the dealer replaced it for free.

It is a shame though that with the number of lenses that seem to  
disappear, they haven't made the lens available as a separate piece.
