Re: [St] Fuel Economy

Going to the sun road was closed the first two days I was there. You could
only go up just past the weeping wall and then they turned you around.

I was going to meet him at Logan pass but couldn't get up there from the
side of the park I was on. The "other way" was about a 2hour trip around
the park to the east entrance and onward to Logan pass.

What time of year did you do that trip? They had 3ft of snow June 10th, but
nothing after that. I was driving through from July 1-3.

So what happened on the Going To The Sun Road?

My chance to ride that road was more like Going To The Snow Road. It was so
foggy and snowing that day, I drove right by the visitor center at the top
because visibility was so bad I didn't even see it. I was on a Katana 750
that trip, and that was one of several days that I ended up riding ( and
sliding) in the snow.

Pass, moments before I dropped it in the ice)

Some day I have to go back to Glacier because I sure didn't see much that
trip.
