Re: [St] George W

With the weak dollar, they arent maximising on profits
either.

Yeah I know poor Shell.... Their profits are down to ONE POINT FIVE BILLION POUNDS per MONTH.

I'm not shouting, I just put that into capitals to ensure its not a typo.

And the big banks are hurting too. Macquarie Bank (also known as the millionaire factory) here on the island of Oz is doing it tough as well. Their new CEO had to take a pay cut of thirteen million dollars. The poor bugger has to survive on a twenty two million dollar package (before bonuses and share options etc) I really dont know how he will? scrape by.

M/C content - My ST cost me $35.00 to fill last night. A few short years ago my thirsty but sweet sounding V8 Kingswood used to cost that. But I'm not letting it get me down. I'm riding it more than ever and not even trying to conserve the fuel. Commuting I get 270kms to reserve. Touring I get around 350kms to reserve. Spirited riding can see a tank of fuel disappear in 150kms.

(Dont get me started on pharma companies either...)

Brett.

working in the subsea industry, it is my understanding that the
companies misread the market at the millenium and puled back on future
production. That lack of investmet then has led to shortfalls and the
high price. With the weak dollar, they arent maximising on profits
either.
