When two of the wires on my ignition switch broke the bike cut off
when the handlebars were in a certain position. See the bottom of this
page

I ended up soldering the two broken wires.
$700 seems awful steep since bikebandit.com sell the ignition switch
for $200. You may want to find another dealer.
