>From what I can see, it's just a terrible design from start. That's exactly
the kind of damage I would expect to see. The slider is way too far from the
frame attachment point for that diameter of bolt/rod. With that much
leverage, I bet you could almost move it by hand. Maybe it's just an optical
illusion?
