for chain - lots of folks like the DuPont Teflon spray, about $5 at

i used a PJ with moly for a long time on the ST, and it was great,
except for the black spots all over my pants, luggage, fender,
plate...

i have 20,000+ on my Tiger chain with a wax-type lubricant - it's
overdue for replacement.

I was faithfully using the DuPont Teflon spray, until about three weeks ago.
I was just getting my VFR back from the shop after the hit-n-run crash and the chain needed lubing.

One of the speed freak mechanics made a comment about my chain needed lube, since it was cleaned with the bike during the rebuild and I responded that I would lube it with my can of teflon spray when I got it home.
The mechanic that had worked on my bike, perked up his ears and dove into his tool box. He had the teflon lube in a squeeze bottle (like a white glue bottle) and proceeded to treat my chain.
The next day I found it in catalog of one of our major distributors and ordered a case.

It will be a long time before I need more teflon lube.
And now that I can just dribble it on the rollers, instead of spraying the world, I'm good to go.

This stuff might even work in a scottoiler or another one of those automatic chain oilers.
