 Its very cleverly done and yes a bunch of people have gone to a lot of trouble to make it for what seems like not much. 

For the record I thought it was all set up when I first watched it. A few more replays confirmed as much.

None the less, its very well done.

There's a lot of discusion and belief (myself included) that this is fake,
that he wasn't going all that fast, that he just 'fell off' and was able to
'catch up' to a bike on foot, etc...

It doesn't make it any less cool of course.
